You Are Here
Cosmic education at home

A free, ad-free app for
Montessori-style cosmic education

In Montessori elementary classrooms, cosmic education starts with big stories — how the universe began, how life appeared — so that every later lesson has a place in one connected picture. “You Are Here” offers a gentle, hands-on version of that picture for younger children (4–8): the universe, the Earth, and the child, all in one continuous zoom.

Not affiliated with any Montessori organization. Built by a parent in Japan.

Why it fits

Interconnection, made visible

01

The whole before the parts

Children see the universe first, then zoom into the galaxy, the Solar System and Earth — so planets, continents and countries are never isolated facts.

02

Follow the child

No levels to clear and no timers pushing ahead. A child can linger on Saturn, fly to a country, or tap the heart and feel their own heartbeat.

03

Short, calm sessions

No ads, autoplay or streak pressure. A grown-up can set a 15–60 minute limit. Everything is narrated, so pre-readers can work independently.

A simple sequence to try

  • Day 1 — The story: run the journey from the universe to “you” together, then draw nested circles
  • Day 2 — The address: complete the cosmic address worksheet; read it aloud from the outside in
  • Day 3 — The Solar System: build the Solar System in the app (drag or tap the planets into their orbits)
  • Day 4 — Earth and people: fly to countries and hear their greetings; talk about who lives where
  • Day 5 — The body: travel inside the body, follow the food journey, and breathe along with the lungs
